About me

I am a complementary health therapist who offers treatments that work on the body and mind. I’m continually amazed at what the body and mind combination can do (both positive and negative) and this is influencing my ongoing reading and study to find ways to allow clients to heal themselves.

I trained as a Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist with the highly regarded London School of Sports Massage and I’m a registered member of the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage and Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council. Both professional bodies require continual professional development (CPD) and I embrace this fully as I firmly believe that the human body is such an amazing thing that there is a wealth of knowledge for me to discover and each time I read about new discoveries there seem to be even more questions to find answers for.

I studied Myofascial Release with Myofascial Release UK in 2012 and in 2015 I completed their Advanced Clinical Diploma in Integrated Myofascial Release (with Distinction). The restrictions that MFR clears to reduce pain and increase movement frequently have an emotional element to them, so I find this subject fascinating and a wonderful bridge between the body and mind.

My training in energy work started with Meditation, Reiki and Emotional Realignment Therapy when I studied with James E Honey, the creator of Emotional Realignment Therapy and its successor: the Honey Healing Method. I’m now a Reiki Master/Teacher, and I’m a member of the UK Reiki Federation. I believe that Reiki offers considerable benefits in a stressful world and that its energy work can help in so many ways to balance the body and mind. Through the CPD that the UK Reiki Federation require of me I am continually seeing Reiki as a system of personal development that also allows me to help others to heal.

I was trained for Emotional Realignment Therapy (ERT) and its successor The Honey Healing Method by its creator, J.E. Honey. They are both revolutionary approaches to permanently clearing emotional blocks and the issues that are caused by these blockages in a person’s energy body. I am one of a small number of qualified Honey Healing Method and ERT practitioners in the world, and I'm delighted to offer it in the London area.

In 2017 I completed a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training course, with the London Yoga Teacher Training Group (LYTTG). This 2 year course covered not just the yoga postures (asanas), but also the breathing techniques (pranayama), meditative practices and the philosophy of Yoga. The style that I practice is inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.  This course took a lot of my time, so I reduced the number of Reiki courses I ran during this time.  However, the information I gained during this course has also impacted my knowledge of Reiki and also the way that I teach it.

I really enjoy playing around on Instagram and take part in a "Photo a Day" challenge, where someone suggests a prompt that I (along with thousands of others around the world) submit photos about. I collect these together in a monthly blog on my main website (RelaxReleaseRenew.co.uk). I also love to read, which is very handy as I spend a lot of time commuting and I have Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours to complete each year for the UK Reiki Federation, Insitute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM), Complementary and Natural Healthcare Coucnil (CNHC) and the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY).
